Best way to merge thermal drone data

RokasTamasauskas

Hello, what is the best way to merge thermal drone data (the drone I’m using to capture the images is a DJI Matrice 4T)? Because when I merge them into a mosaic (TIFF file...), the temperature values disappear. Should I first convert them to TIFF format using Thermo Tool, or is there another way?

Yes 🙂 use that tool to convert and then process the mapping.

@RokasTamasauskas you can also use the dji-thermal-cli. I'm also currently working on dji thermal addon for integrating this via plugin as well. https://github.com/WinuxNomacs/dji-thermal-cli

okey thanks, and also can I procces regular photos with thermal in one bach? Or I need to do separate.

separate, 2 tasks in one project is fine though. Just make sure you use the tif pics exported by either tool if you want the radiometric data detected. Otherwise both will just be separate rgb/visual models.

apologies, I thought you were referring to webodm in which case you don't want to mix thermal with non-thermal. The dji-thermal-cli doesn't care as it will just ignore the non-thermal ones when converting to tif anyway
