Updating on Windows from 2.8.1 to WebODM 3.2.2

Alasdair

Hi All!

I've just checked in on updating the software and there seems to have been some changes since November when I downloaded the 2.8.1 windows installer, before the WebODM/ODM split.
I was wondering what the safest way to update to the latest WebODM windows 3.2.2 installer is? Is it a case of just running the latest installer in the same location as the previous install, or is it best to set up in a new directory?

I have quite a few project files I would rather not lose, hence the hesitation.

Thanks All
Alasdair

Yeah just run the 3.2.2 installer, it will ask ad usual where you want to install it and suggest the drive with the most space, but you can safely reinstall to the same dice you have it on now, just the same as you've always done for updates

Yes it should be safe to install over the existing location. It will update. If you want to be safe, make a copy of the original WebODM folder before updating, just in case
