OpenDroneMap
July 31st 2026

As of 2026, there's a lot of outdated information about OpenDroneMap and its relationship with WebODM. This page provides some up-to-date information:
- As of April 6th 2026, the projects have split. WebODM was part of OpenDroneMap, but that is no longer the case. You can read the announcement for details.
- WebODM installers are available to download for free from our download page at webodm.org.
- WebODM was an interface to OpenDroneMap (ODM), but that is no longer the case. Today WebODM uses ODX, a state of the art, up-to-date photogrammetry engine forked from and faster than ODM, maintained by former core and lead contributors of ODM that is entirely separate from OpenDroneMap.
- OpenDroneMap sells installers for a fork of WebODM, called "OpenDroneMap Desktop", which is not WebODM and should not be confused with WebODM.
- Some references about WebODM on the OpenDroneMap website are outdated or inaccurate and should be disregarded.
